Craft night is coming soon

Dessert night was deliciously fun- thanks ladies! Hopefully those that came enjoyed chatting with old friends and made a few new ones as well.

Our next activity is craft night on August 24th. We'll be making prayer journals, great for writing prayers, Bible study notes- anything you might want to scribble down. If you can, bring a piece of your favorite fabric to make your journal uniquely yours (check your local craft store for a "fat quarter" that's pre-cut, or bring a piece that's approximately 18"x20"), along with a piece of cardboard that's roughly the same size.

We'll provide some fabric and cardboard for those that are unable to bring their own. Join us for another great time with the ladies of PWOC!

Welcome to our new and improved site! We hope you will find it easier to navigate and find just the information you're looking for. While you're exploring our new look, don't forget to check out our "Upcoming Events" page. Next week on Tuesday, August 10th, we are having a dessert and coffee night. Bring your favorite dessert and a friend to the Chapel Annex at 6:30pm for a "sweet" time of fellowship. Children's ministry will not be provided, but children are welcome- let them consume sugar at your own risk! :)


School is right around the corner, PWOC has a couple of fun events in August, and there's just over a month until our fall kickoff. With all of the things that will keep us busy in the upcoming weeks and months, let's try to remember to take time to "be still, and know that [He is] God" (Psalm 46:10). We are very excited to see what God is doing to do in and through PWOC in the upcoming year.

Anyone need a break from the heat?

Thanks to the ladies who came out for our first summer get-together! It was great to see a couple of new faces as well as the familiar ones. If you missed out or had a good time and want to do it again, join us at the base pool on Tuesday, July 27th from 6-7pm. It'll give you a chance to cool off while getting to know each other a little better. Kids are welcome- hope to see you there!

Summertime!

It's been a while since we've updated the site, so we wanted to let you know what's going on in the world of Nellis PWOC!

Our Bible studies have wrapped up for the summer and will start back up in the fall. In the meantime, we know we have a lot of ladies who have just arrived at Nellis and are looking for a place to get connected. If you'd like to just get together with some of the ladies from PWOC, we are meeting at the playground in Freedom Park (on main base, near the static plane displays and softball fields) Tuesday, July 6th at 6pm for a time to get to know one another while the kids have a chance to play. Bring your kids (if you have 'em, but everyone is welcome!), a lawn chair, and water if you desire.

The base chapel is also offering an exciting VBS from July 12th-16th! Please call the chapel at 652-2950 to sign your kids up or to volunteer.

There are a lot of events coming up in the fall, so check back soon for more updates! We still have some volunteer positions open, so contact us if you have an interest in serving. We are looking forward to starting the upcoming year as "we are workers together for Christ"!
